All About Lash Extensions

Whether it's your first time getting lash extensions or you've been getting them done for years, this information is good to familiarize yourself with before getting a service done with us. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

Do Lash Extensions Damage your Natural Lashes?

Our short answer is NO! Your natural lashes grow and shed regularly. The average growth cycle is 6-8 weeks. As long as your stylist is fully trained, uses correct techniques, chooses the correct length and thickness for your extensions - and you as a client, follow aftercare and maintenance, your natural lashes will be more than fine. Some even find that extensions can correct improper growth and train your natural lashes to grow in the correct direction!

Do Lash Extensions Hurt?

Lash Extensions should never hurt your eyes, during application or during daily wear. If you find one is "poking" you, it may have lifted from the base, or been applied too closely to the lash line. Please contact the Lash Bar right away if that happens so we can get you in to correct it.

How Do I Maintain Them?

Maintaining your Lash Extensions is a process, but it is very easy! We  provide you with a sample size of our Lash Cleanser and we show you how to correctly use it. You'll want to wash your eye area and your extensions at least once a day. Your lashes are there to protect your eyes from sweat, oils, dirt and bacteria. If you don't wash them, these can build up on your extensions and cause them to fall out early. You'll also want to brush your extensions daily and as you wash them to keep them untangled and pointing in the right direction. We have many retail products available to help you care for your extensions.

Along with washing and brushing your extensions, you'll need to schedule your refills every 2-3 weeks. Since your natural lashes are constantly growing, the extensions will grow out and can get heavy, and start twisting and turning. When you come in for refills, we remove any extensions that are outgrown, and replace them. We also put extensions on any new growth that is ready for an extension. Any Refill booked 4 weeks after your last service, will be scheduled as a new Full Set.

How Long is the Appointment?

For your first Full Set, we schedule for 2 full hours. Everyone has on average, 60-120 natural lashes per eye. This gives us time for a small consultation, and enough time to properly complete your service. For Refills, we schedule an hour to an hour and a half.

If you are looking for speed lashing, we are not the stylists for you.

Do You Service Foreign Refills?

We service foreign refills as long as they are done correctly, well taken care of and are done in similar style to ours. Please fill out our new client intake form with details on your current set including which set they are (Classic, Hybrid, Volume or Mega Volume) and the length and curl type (if you know). Please also try to attach any pictures as that will help us determine if we can complete a refill, or if we recommend a removal and new full set.

Can I Bring People To My Appointment?

We ask that you do NOT bring kids, extra people or pets to your appointment. We use sharp tweezers, medical grade products, and you won't be able to open your eyes during service. Our room is not big enough to accommodate any extra people and our insurance only covers our stylists and our client. The ONLY exception is if a client is under 18, the parent can stay throughout the service after signing the intake form, but it is not required.
